Dr. Bedros Taslakian

Dr. Bedros Taslakian is an internationally recognized physician, researcher, and healthcare strategist, whose consulting practice integrates advanced clinical expertise, innovative research leadership, and deep insight into healthcare law and policy. He serves as Associate Professor of Clinical Interventional Radiology and Vice Chair of Research at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and holds an adjunct faculty appointment at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

He served as the site principal investigator and national coordinator for the landmark NIH-funded PE-TRACT trial, a multicenter study evaluating catheter-directed therapy for intermediate-risk pulmonary embolism. In addition, he has led as principal investigator and adjudication chair for numerous multicenter Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) trials, driving advancements in the management of venous thromboembolism, knee osteoarthritis, portal hypertension, and men’s health interventions.

Board-certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR), the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR), and holder of the European Certification for Endovascular Specialists (EBIR-EV), Dr. Taslakian completed his residency at the American University of Beirut, followed by fellowships in Chest Imaging, Advanced Cardiac Imaging, and Vascular & Interventional Radiology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He also earned a Master of Arts in Health Law and Policy from Hofstra University’s Maurice Deane School of Law, graduating with distinction. This unique blend of medical, legal, and policy expertise enables him to navigate complex healthcare landscapes and advise on regulatory, ethical, and compliance matters.

A prolific academic with over 45 peer-reviewed publications and frequent invited lectures worldwide, Dr. Taslakian is a Fellow of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (FCIRSE) and the American Heart Association (FAHA). His contributions have been recognized through multiple awards for research excellence, innovation, and education.
